Fintrafficissa digipalveluja kehitetään yhdessä

How Fintraffic's digital services have developed?

Fintraffic celebrated its five-year anniversary in January. Over the past five years, Fintraffic has developed several different areas in cooperation with all modes of transport. One such area is the development of digital services.

“The development of digital services has clearly accelerated, and we have been running full steam ahead so far. As proof of this, Fintraffic’s digital services saw a total of about one million visits in the fourth quarter of last year. A crucial factor in this is the fact that the relationship between traffic control and the development of digital services and the traffic data ecosystem has become closer. Our traffic management feeds service development and the traffic data ecosystem effectively with its real-time information. Ecosystem actors, on the other hand, enrich traffic management data. I am very pleased that the sharing of expertise has become closer, and services are now genuinely being thought-out together," says Janne Lautanala, Fintraffic Chief Ecosystem and Technology Officer at Fintraffic.

Who are AIno and AImo? What kind of cooperation does Fintraffic have with Waze? How does the Fintraffic App serve motorists and train travellers? How many interface calls were made to Fintraffic's open-data Digitraffic service last year? How are route planners serving passengers better and better? How do award-winning solutions for maritime traffic promote the flow of information and improve the efficiency of operations? What kind of cooperation does Fintraffic have with Finnair? And how can we get rid of paper consignment notes in goods transport? After watching the video, you'll learn more about these and more.

The development of digital services is a key part of Fintraffic's strategy. Read more about the strategy here: https://www.fintraffic.fi/fi/fintraffic/strategia-2023-2027 (in Finnish)
More detailed development work will also be included in the annual report, which is published at the end of March.
