Brokering services and combined services
Brokering services and combined services must make a notification of the essential information of their services to the national access point in the FINAP service. The brokering service arranges individual journeys or transports by other operators for a price. The brokering service may also simultaneously organise their own company’s travel or transport. The brokering service also covers the organisation of goods transport. An example of a brokering service is a taxi dispatch centre. Combined services, on the other hand, refer to a “MaaS operator” (Mobility as a Service) that offers the customer a journey using at least two different operators, such as a train and a bus, a train and a taxi or a long-distance bus trip with a bus transfer between at least two traffic operators.
The details of the brokering service or combined service are published in the FINAP service (the link is external). If you represent a company that provides a brokering service or a combined service, make sure that their data are saved in the FINAP service and that they are kept up to date. Remember to also indicate all operators involved in the provision of the brokering service and/or combined service to consumers.
Saving the data of a brokering service or combined service in the FINAP service is described in the service’s instructions for use (in Finnish).
Brief instructions are available on how to add data on the companies participating in the service.
