Purpose of RAE editor
The RAE tool is a route and timetable editor managed by Fintraffic, which can be used to store public transport routes with their bus stop chains and bus stop-specific timetables as GTFS-formatted data.
The routes published in the RAE tool are currently transferred to the information pool after publication, where they are saved in GTFS format. In this way, a transport operator or a public operator procuring public transport can convert their route and timetable information into an electronic format. The speed at which new route information is updated to the information pool varies slightly, but takes place within a few days at most.
The RAE tool uses Digiroad public transport stops material (for more information, see www.digiroad.fi). Deficiencies and errors in the data must be reported either directly to the authority or to the Digiroad operator. The operator can be reached by email pysakit (at) digiroad.fi.
